Functions of smart cards in NEWGY hotel lock system

There are two types of smart cards in NEWGY hotel lock system: management card and unlocking card.

* A.Management card
To manage locks, not to unlock, including:
1.  Authorization Card
To set the management software and locks. The management system must obtain information from a Authorization Card when it is run for the first time to work normally, and the locks must be set by the same Authorization Card once after installation. The Authorization Card is provided together with the software or locks and cannot be copied by the client, so it must be stored with care. Because the different information in each Authorization Card, the unlocking cards issued by a hotel cannot open another’s rooms.


2.  Installation card
To set basic information in a lock (building, floor no. and room no. etc.)

3.  Time card
To set the time inside a lock.

4.  Reporting loss card
To make a lost card invalid.

5.  Check-out card
Used for check-out. After swiping the check-out card, all guest cards used before will become invalid. Note that if a guest card has not been swiped in the lock after being issued, swiping the check-out card will not make it invalid.

Check-out card can be used only during the assigned dates.

* B.Unlocking card
To unlock doors, including:
1.  Guest card
To be used by guests. Can unlock the assigned room during assigned time periods. Cannot unlock the room locked inside.
Basic information in a guest card: check-in time, due-out time, building no., floor no., room no.

2.  Floor card
To be used by floor servants. Can unlock all rooms on a specified floor range in a specified building during three assigned time periods. Cannot unlock the room locked inside.
Floor card can be used only during the assigned dates.
Basic information in a floor card: building no., floor range(Start Floor, End Floor), three time periods (start time, end time).

3.  Building card
To open all rooms in a specified building. Building card can be used only during the assigned dates. Cannot unlock the room locked inside.
Basic information in a building card: building no.

4.  Master card
To open all rooms in a hotel, including those locked inside. Master card can be used only during the assigned dates.

5.  Emergency card
To be used in emergency. Can unlock all rooms in all buildings, including rooms locked inside. A lock will stay unlocked after being swiped by an emergency card, until being swiped by the same card again.
Emergency card can be used only during the assigned dates.
